1. Definitions

In these General Terms & Conditions, the following definitions apply:

1.1 Helcity Piercing:
The sole proprietorship operating under the name Helcity Piercing, based in Belgium.

1.2 Client:
Any natural person who books or purchases services and/or products from Helcity Piercing.

1.3 Agreement:
Any agreement between Helcity Piercing and the Client relating to the provision of piercing services, consultations, jewelry sales, or related products.

2. Applicability

2.1 These General Terms & Conditions apply to all Agreements between Helcity Piercing and the Client, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

2.2 By booking an appointment, purchasing a product, or otherwise entering into an Agreement, the Client confirms that they have read and accepted these General Terms & Conditions.

2.3 In the event of any conflict between these General Terms & Conditions and service-specific booking policies or checkout terms displayed during booking, the service-specific booking policies and checkout terms shall prevail.

3. Own Responsibility and Risk

3.1 All services provided by Helcity Piercing are carried out at the Client’s own responsibility and risk.

3.2 By entering into an Agreement, the Client acknowledges being informed of the normal risks associated with piercings, including but not limited to swelling, infection, scarring, rejection, migration, or prolonged healing. Healing outcomes and final results cannot be guaranteed.

3.3 The Client declares that they are medically fit to receive the service, have provided correct and complete health information, and are not suffering from conditions that could adversely affect the procedure or endanger others.

3.4 The Client confirms that they are not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or substances that may impair judgment or consent at the time of the appointment.

4. Age and Identification

4.1 Piercing services are only provided to Clients 18 years or older.

4.2 Clients aged 16–17 may only be pierced when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must provide written consent and valid government-issued identification, in accordance with applicable law and studio policy.

4.3 Helcity Piercing reserves the right to request valid government-issued photo identification at any time. Failure to provide valid ID may result in refusal of service.

4.4 As an exception to the minimum age requirement, Helcity Piercing offers earlobe piercings for children aged 4 to 10 years, provided that:

• the child is willing and able to give clear, voluntary consent,

• a parent or legal guardian is present at all times,

• written parental consent is provided, and

• valid government-issued identification of the parent or guardian is presented.

Helcity Piercing reserves the right to refuse the service if the child does not clearly consent, appears distressed, or if the procedure is deemed unsuitable for any reason.

5. Bookings, Payments, and Deposits

5.1 Prices for services and products are communicated during booking, consultation, or purchase.

5.2 Booking deposits, payment methods, cancellation rules, and rescheduling conditions are governed by the booking policies and checkout terms displayed during the booking process.
The remaining balance is payable at the appointment. Cash is preferred.

5.3 Deposits are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise in the applicable booking policy.

6. Refusal of Service

6.1 Helcity Piercing reserves the right to refuse or terminate services at any time if:

• The Client is under the influence of alcohol or drugs

• The Client is unable to give informed consent

• The Client behaves inappropriately or disrespectfully

• Health, safety, or hygiene concerns arise

• The Client’s anatomy is unsuitable for the requested service

6.2 In cases of refusal or termination due to Client conduct or safety concerns, no refund will be issued.

7. Liability

7.1 Helcity Piercing has an obligation of effort, not an obligation of result. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide services professionally and safely.

7.2 Helcity Piercing shall not be liable for damage, complications, or undesired outcomes unless caused by intent or gross negligence.

7.3 Any liability of Helcity Piercing shall in all cases be limited to the amount paid by the Client for the relevant service or product.

7.4 The Client must take reasonable steps to limit any damage and must notify Helcity Piercing as soon as reasonably possible if an issue arises.

8. Warranty and Materials

8.1 Helcity Piercing uses sterile, single-use tools and high-quality materials that comply with applicable public health regulations.

8.2 No warranty is given on healing outcomes, individual body reactions, or long-term results.

9. Applicable Law

9.1 These General Terms & Conditions and all Agreements are governed exclusively by Belgian law.

10. Final Provisions

10.1 If any provision of these General Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain fully in force.

10.2 These General Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most recent version will always be available on the Helcity Piercing website.
